Did you know in America there is a law called the 1955 Presidential Libraries Act?
That each president would oversee the creation of a library in their name.
Can you just imagine, every none classified piece as they aren’t allowed to keep non classified stuff out of their library because anything created during the presidents term is legally classed as public property.
That should be interesting for the current, erm, person.
((though according to wiki, these documents are ‘donated by the president’ ))

It will be an absolute shrine. 30 years from now people will talk about pilgrimages to see it.
I don’t know what to think anymore.

I actually did know this. I have been joking about it for awhile about how it'll be the first presidential library filled with nothing but coloring books.

A talking head on my preferred cable-news network mentioned this the other day. Who in the world is going to want to categorize and curate all of 45's bullcrap?

Colouring books and lies.

I’m wondering if NYC can prevent Trump from building it there. Usually cities are keen to honor local presidents, but Trump is not so popular in New York these days. Make him build in Florida or New Jersey! I suspect his papers are somewhat limited anyway. I also suspect he might feel he shouldn’t donate them when he can sell them (though to the extent they exist, he may want to keep them under wraps. I guess he can just classify everything )
In any event, the only presidential libraries I’ve visited are Nixon’s and Wilson’s (Wilson’s predates the government funding for presidential libraries, so isn’t official in the same way). I probably should have visited LBJ’s when I lived in Austin, but never got around to it. Same story with Kennedy’s here in Boston.

Lol. 30 years from now. It’ll be a pilgrimage site before it’s even opened.
With many pieces of the lies he told being defaced or called democrat lies put in to taint trump’s legacy. Lol.

That was one of the big concerns in the beginning of 45's administration.
Tweets by the President must be preserved as official records.
I just like to imagine every Presidential Tweet from 2017 through 2021 printed in chronological order and bound in hardcover volumes. That would be a sight to behold.

I can imagine it now,
“hey Tony, why are you wearing breathing app aratus? Yes, there’s a pandemic, but your working alone in the room, you don’t have to wear a mask!”.
“Steve, I ain’t taking any chances with all this noxious bullshit. I’ve even replaced the eye wash bath with bleach to rinse my eyes at the end of the day! ”.

He’ll figure out a way to do it to further enrich himself. Just watch.
I’m so pissed we’re going to be paying this guy for the rest of his life. Ugh.

I’m guessing there will be a few libraries and museums dedicated to him in the south, the god squad bible belt and some delusional areas dotted around the country.
I would like to see Wilson’s, his parents are from my city and during WW1 he visited on what he called, ‘a pilgrimage of the heart’.
We remember him in a piece in Carlisle’s military museum
and of course, a pub. Lol.

Lol. Gold plated. I’d hazard gold spray paint.

Ye’, like I said to someone above, those will get defaced and people will say they are democrat lies put in to discredit trump’s legacy. Lol.

It will also have copies of all the pardons he is going to issue during his last week. Can you imagine what a shitshow that is going to be?
![]() 11/10/2020 at 10:13 |

So true.
Yes, he’ll be given secret service protection and drivers (presidents and former presidents aren’t allowed to drive on public roads anymore) and he’ll find a way of charging the governemnt for housing them, etc... he’ll also be given access to privileged national security information for life, etc...

As far as Oppo related stuff goes, Wilson’s library/museum has his presidential limo, a 1919 Pierce-Arrow Series 51 :

Im going to send them coloring books forever. He will have sharpies, stacks of blank paper, golf clubs...

They can refuse it, Nixon did later in life. It's very intrusive and since Drumpf obviously does a bunch of illegal stuff I'm thinking he refuses. Donny jr refused... cant do drugs with them watching..

I forgot that Nixon refused.

And:
The Secretary of the
Treasury pays a taxable pension to the president. Former presidents
receive a pension equal to the pay that the head of an executive
department (Executive Level I) would be paid; as of 2020, it is $219,200
per year. The pension begins immediately after a president’s departure
from office.
Clearly, we’ll likely make way more than that in speaking engagements or advertising or whatever a reality show president does after he’s not in office. Ugh.

Ye’, Nixon sited saving government money while jr. sited privacy.
I think trumpie will take it, then say the government is restricting what he’s doing, try to get it changed and only then give it up and get private security but then try to get the government to pay for it.
